# Calendar views

> Switch between day, week, and month views on the What's On calendar to see your sessions at the right level of detail.

The **What's On** calendar is the main view of your schedule. You can switch between three views depending on how much detail you need to see.

## Switching views

Under the mini-calendar on the left of the **What's On** screen, use the toggle to switch between:

| View      | Best for                                                                     |
| --------- | ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| **Day**   | A detailed hour-by-hour view of a single day, including overlapping sessions |
| **Week**  | A seven-day overview showing each day's sessions side by side                |
| **Month** | A high-level overview of the whole month — the default view                  |

## Seeing more sessions on a busy day

When a day has more sessions than fit on screen, a slider appears so you can scroll through the full agenda:

* In **day** view, scroll vertically to see sessions earlier or later in the day.
* In **week** view, the slider appears for any day with more than three sessions.
* In **month** view, hover over a date to activate the slider, then drag it up or down to view the full day.

## Current-time indicator

When you view today's date in **day** view, a red vertical line marks the current time so you can see at a glance what's running now and what's coming up next.

The indicator uses your business's configured timezone, not the timezone of the device you're viewing on. This means staff logging in from a different region — for example, head-office users in another country — still see the line positioned against the centre's local time. Set your timezone from the [account settings](/getting-started/account-settings) page.

The line only appears when the selected date matches today in your business timezone. Switch to a different date and the line is hidden.

## Choosing the right view

There is no single "correct" view — each one suits a different task:

* Use **day** view when running operations on the day and you need exact times.
* Use **week** view for planning staffing and equipment for the week ahead.
* Use **month** view for an at-a-glance overview of how busy the centre is.
